Audience Choice Voting

To watch the nominated films and vote in the Audience Choice section, visitors need to register on the website.

After registration, you will be able to view the films, choose your favorite nominees, and cast your vote.

Step-by-step instructions are available inside the voting platform.

Everything you need to know about submitting your film, including eligibility, content guidelines, and award criteria.

Short Films: up to 10 minutes

Feature Films: up to 120 minutes

Trailers / Scenes: up to 5 minutes, for works not ready to be fully submitted

Screenplays: optional submission, reviewed separately

All submissions must be created or developed using artificial intelligence in some aspect of production, storytelling, visual effects, or post-production.

If a film is submitted as a trailer or scene, the jury will evaluate the work based on the presented material, focusing on creativity, style, AI integration, and potential.

All entries can be submitted through FilmFreeway or via email.

If submitting via email, applicants should provide a link to cloud storage (Google Drive, WeTransfer, Vimeo, YouTube, etc.).

Each filmmaker may submit up to 2 works per cycle.

Resubmission of the same work is allowed only if it has not previously won an award.

If a submission is received after the deadline, it will automatically be reviewed for the following month’s festival.

To ensure a smooth and fair festival experience, the following minimum requirements apply:

1. **Film Format**: Films must be submitted in a common digital format (e.g., MP4, MOV) with a maximum file size of 2GB.
2. **AI Integration**: All submissions must involve artificial intelligence in some aspect of production, storytelling, visual effects, or post-production.
3. **Submission Deadline**: Films must be submitted by the specified deadline for consideration in the current festival. Late submissions will be reviewed for the next edition.
4. **Originality**: The film must be the original work of the submitting filmmaker. Copyrighted material without permission is not allowed.
5. **Content Guidelines**: Films must comply with community standards and must not contain illegal or offensive content.

Following these minimum requirements ensures that all entries are eligible for consideration and awards.

All intellectual property remains with the author.

Festival may publish films, trailers, or scenes only with the author’s consent.

Submitted works may be used for promotional purposes on the festival website and social media.

Films are initially viewed by a private jury. Jury decisions are final and not subject to dispute. Winners are evaluated based on film quality, storytelling, creativity, and integration of AI elements.

  • Submissions accepted until the 20th of each month

  • Nominees announced on the 28th

  • Winners revealed on the last day of the month

    Top Tips for LAAIMPA Participants

    1. Highlight AI Integration
Make sure to explain clearly how artificial intelligence was used in your film — whether in writing, production, editing, or visual effects.

    2. Keep It Professional
Even short films or trailers should have clear sound, stable visuals, and a finished look. First impressions matter to the jury.

    3. Tell a Strong Story
Technology is important, but storytelling is the heart of cinema. Focus on emotion, creativity, and originality.

    4. Check Technical Requirements
Submit in a standard format (MP4, MOV, HD/4K). Avoid watermarks or incomplete versions.

    5. Don’t Worry About Budget
Great ideas and creativity are more valuable than high production costs. Originality stands out.

    6. Be On Time
Submit before the deadline — late entries will automatically be moved to the next edition of the festival.

    • Bharat
      Best Short Film  July 2026

I am Bharat, a 24-year-old filmmaker, cinematographer, and director — but before any of those titles, a dreamer.
My work lives at the intersection of Indian mythology, science fiction, and pure storytelling. I wear my roots like a medal, drawing on the depth of Indian culture to create films that feel both ancient and boundless. As one of India’s leading and most versatile AI filmmakers, I am committed to pushing the frontier of what cinema can be.
Every film I have made has been recognized with awards, earning me a reputation as an award-winning filmmaker. My work has been featured on national television, covered in national newspapers, and screened live on national broadcasts. Internationally, my films have been screened across London, Malaysia, India, Singapore, and Cannes — including a winning film at the Cannes Film Festival. I have also been honored at some of the world’s biggest AI film awards and continue to earn a place among the leading names on the global AI filmmaking stage.
I let the work speak for itself. I invest little in marketing and self-promotion, choosing instead to pour that energy back into the craft — into the stories, the frames, and the worlds I build. If you know my films, you already know my name.

      Best AI Screenplay July 2026

Montreal-based filmmaker, AI artist, full-stack developer, and the founder of Above The Void, a boutique AI cinema studio in operation since 2022. Over 25+ years in full-stack development provided the engineering foundation to build DreamReel.io, an agentic cinematic production platform that orchestrates a full pipeline from script to screen across an Act/Scene/Beat/Shot architecture. My artistic sensibility leans toward the absurdist, surrealist, and deadpan tragic. My engineering focuses on making that sensibility scalable. I prioritize ethical practice: Above The Void is built around artistic consent, authorship protection, and transparent creative practice.

    • Iggi Mar
      Best Music Video July 2026

After 17 years in office routine, I decided at 40 that it was time for a plot twist. I quit the office to finally do what I’ve always been passionate about: creating visual stories. Over the past year diving deep into AI and video production, I’ve managed to create a video campaign for a charity foundation, produce commercial content for an Armenian fashion brand, and collaborate with creative influencers. Turns out, starting from scratch at 40 is actually pretty fun.
