Humanoid Robot Makes Historic First Visit to the White House
On March 25, 2026, an event unprecedented in history took place: Figure 03, a humanoid robot developed by the American company Figure AI, officially crossed the threshold of the White House. Brett Adcock, the company’s founder, emphasized that the robot operated entirely autonomously, without human intervention.
Figure 03 appeared at the residence of U.S. presidents during the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit, a two-day forum organized by First Lady Melania Trump. The event unfolded in two stages: on March 24, participants gathered for a working session at the U.S. Department of State, and on March 25, the main roundtable discussion took place in the East Room of the White House. The summit brought together representatives from 45 countries and 28 major technology companies, including OpenAI, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Adobe, and Palantir. The central theme was how to harness artificial intelligence and modern technology in education to help children navigate the digital world. Discussions focused on fostering digital literacy, ensuring online safety, and integrating AI into learning.
During the summit’s opening, Figure 03 walked alongside Melania Trump down the red carpet before delivering a brief address to the guests. The robot thanked the First Lady for the invitation and expressed its enthusiasm for participating in an event dedicated to supporting children through technology and education. One of the most striking moments came when the robot greeted participants in 11 languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese, Hebrew, Slovenian, Ukrainian, Georgian, and Bengali.
Melania Trump described Figure 03 as an “American humanoid system” and underscored the historic nature of the robot’s appearance at the White House. In her remarks, she noted: “The future of AI is embodiment. Very soon, artificial intelligence will move from our smartphones into humanoid robots that deliver benefit.” Brett Adcock, founder of Figure AI, shared a video of the moment on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “I’m incredibly proud that F.03 made history as the first humanoid robot in the White House.”
