Luma Launches Production Studio Innovative Dreams, Ben Kingsley to Star as Moses

Luma, an AI video startup, has launched a new production company called Innovative Dreams in partnership with Wonder Project, a faith-based streaming service for Amazon Prime.
Their first project, Old Stories: Moses, stars British actor Ben Kingsley and is set to premiere this spring on Prime Video.
Innovative Dreams combines experienced filmmakers from director John Erwin’s team with Luma’s AI tools. Using Luma Agents, creative teams can adjust sets, props, lighting, and add actor footage in real time — a process Luma calls a major improvement over traditional virtual production and motion capture.
“This is the advantage of AI — not just faster or cheaper, but better,” Luma said.
Luma isn’t alone: AI startup Higgsfield recently launched an original series, and Wonder Studios is working on a documentary.
Runway’s co-founder suggested studios should make 50 AI-powered films instead of one $100 million movie. Luma’s CEO Amit Jain agrees, saying generative AI can make filmmaking faster and cheaper without losing quality.
Wonder Project, founded in 2023 by director John Erwin and ex-Netflix executive Kelly Hoogstraten, previously released the biblical drama House of David on Amazon Prime in 2025.
It remains unclear if Innovative Dreams will focus solely on faith-based content
