YouTube Unveils Veo 3 Fast: Turn Text into AI-Generated Shorts
YouTube is making a major leap in content creation with the launch of a powerful new AI tool—Veo 3 Fast. Now, anyone can be a director: simply describe your idea in a text prompt, and the neural network will instantly generate a vertical Short for you in HD quality with perfectly matched audio.
But that’s just the beginning. The platform is preparing to release a whole suite of advanced features. Soon, creators will be able to copy motion from one video to another, apply complex styles to their clips (for instance, transforming them into a pop-art comic or origami-style animation), and even add new characters and objects to a scene with a simple text command. These “superpowers” are currently available to a limited group of testers, with a mass rollout expected in the coming months.
These tools are part of a large-scale transformation of the Shorts ecosystem. Beyond Veo, YouTube is introducing smart editing that selects the best clips and music with a single tap, as well as the revolutionary Lyria 2 technology that turns ordinary speech into a musical track. To ensure transparency, all AI-generated content will be clearly labeled with special SynthID watermarks.
